MORAL BANKRUPTCY IN KENYA HAS REACHED ITS HIGHEST PEAK

NEVER DISMISS THE VISIT OF PRESIDENT OBAMA AND POPE FRANCIS LAST YEAR. BOTH LEADERS REBUKED CORRUPTION!
It is saddening that The Supreme Court of Kenya has reached a point of total crisis just barely a year to next General Elections. If the image of the highest Court in the land is totally damaged then even the previous rulings may be rendered null and void. Beginning with the petition of Hon. Raila against the winning of President Uhuru among others. It has never happened in Kenya before that all judges of The Supreme Court are sent home on corruption allegations.
The Judicial Service Commission satisfied that Hon. Justice Philip Tunoi has a case to answer in corruption allegations, then there should be more to be revealed in the case.
The reality at hand is that Kenyans are rapidly losing confidence in the judiciary when it comes to integrity. This is a very dangerous situation facing the administration of justice in the country. The Supreme Court is on trial and there is much to worry about this crisis. It is a question begging to claim that the Hon. Justice has a case to answer and must step down. This on-going situation will have both legal and political consequences.
This is the last chance for Kenya to turn against corruption whether it is bitter or difficult.
Ethics matters. Whether we like it or not there is meaning in being ethical. A 72 years old judge is facing an acid test based on his moral integrity if the bribe allegations are found to be holding.
